Dear patrons & followers, we have bittersweet news.
Kyle & I have made the decision to shut the doors of our beloved little eatery. We have nurtured and grown this venture for many years but now find the need to slow down and find equal joy in new ventures. After an exceptional season we close the doors on a high note.
We thank our amazing & loyal staff who have been the backbone of this enterprise!
And we thank our fabulous clients, for the support, the conversations and the memorable times.This was possibly the hardest part of our conclusion and we will miss you.

But now one for the sweet news!
Firstly ...watch out for Mez Karoo Kitchen Pop Ups!
Secondly...I will be opening Mez Karoo Cottage, that delightful little dwelling that many of you have asked about. Stylish and comfortable ABnB accommodation (for 2) with wonderful views of our valley, with the opportunity to order favourite Mez meals for yourselves and even a small group of friends (up to 12 peeps) in the The Gallery, which is where I will be displaying my canvasses.
Thirdly...Mez Karoo Cooking. I will hold appointed weekend classes teaching you the flavours and methods behind the Mez meals that you have enjoyed over the years!

We close our doors on the 25th May. I will continue using this page for updates.
Please watch this space for details of the accommodation which will be available from the beginning of July and news of the cooking classes.

This December we are bringing you Another Sexy Sunday on the grass dance floor at Mez Karoo Kitchen.
For the Festive Funk of It, we will have the one and only Dancing Dakini DJ Kali banging out some merry beats to get us in the festive spirit.
Under the Apricot Bar will have the usual delightful drinks and specials, with funky food items from the Mez elves on offer.
Come jingle your bells and be jolly under the holly... For the Festive Funk of It.

On the 22 ND September we hold our Heritage Street Food Market.

8 countries will be represented.

The Mexican stall will offer Jalapeño cheese Pops, Chicken Tostades, and Tres Leche..a Latin version of Malva pudding!

The Mediterranean Vegan / raw stall will offer Falafel, Hummus wraps, Lemon Polenta cake, and Raw Chocolate Cake.

Watch out for further details of the other dishes on offer!

These are the Mez Madonnas. They are painted to appear as mosaic. The first one is painted on the wall of the restaurant and greets guests as they enter. The others are framed.
