🙌 Teamwork makes the dream work! Heard from our friends at The Tangerine Food Company that they had lots of leftovers that could go to a good home, so I ran over and grabbed them. An hour later we had 84 containers of food that made their way to various community fridges around the metro.

This is how you do it! So grateful for these connections though my beloved Greater Des Moines LDEI community 🥰

We had another Community Meals prep day yesterday! Even though we were short on volunteers, we prepared 60+ sandwiches, 25 chicken taco meals and 32 Greek falafel snack kits. These were brought to community fridges in the area.

We will be sending out signups to help with dates July- December soon if you’re interested in joining our cause.

Additionally, if you have a group that needs kitchen prep space to help the community, connect with us!

This will give our office team more time to process orders & secure groceries to be ready for production bright and early Tuesday morning.

⚠️ACTION NEEDED!!⚠️ It's easy to forget how important local businesses are to the community because we just figure they are always there.

The places we gather, the shops we get that special something at, the services we can't do life without- those businesses are the backbone of our local economy.

The ones you ask to support your sports team or school activity. The ones who employ your neighbors.

And most are not out there looking for the spotlight- they are just there trying to make life just a little bit easier for YOU.

But the life of a business is a tough one and the thing they can't do without is you. You have the opportunity to lift up a business by doing something that doesn't cost anything- casting a vote.

These Best in Class votes may seem trivial but it is a chance for a business to get the recognition they deserve and get more eyes on the services they offer.

A way for you to say "this business makes a difference in my life and I think you should know about them." Trust me- this means so much.

💚This is in my personal Top 10 meals- which out of 400ish recipes is saying something! Give it a try even if it might be out of your normal comfort zone- it's SOOO good!!

Oh and did you see it is a gluten-free recipe? AND can also be vegetarian?!?! Double bonus!
