We are now OPEN in Wailea 🏝️and are beyond excited to be down here on the Southside! After what seemed like eons, our doors are open and the food is flowing! We love seeing our island-wide Choice Fam popping in to check us out. Hope to see YOU soon too! ✨ The Dish on Wailea ✨

Aloha Choice Fam! Many of you have been asking for the scoop on Choice South Side. Well here it is!

We have been down there at our new spot in Wailea Village almost every day, making strides! A trucker hat and clothes covered in construction dust has become our new work uniform. And… We are actually getting pretty darn close!! A turning point was last week when we finished the drywall, which made it look so much brighter and better than the metal framing phase we were stuck in for what seemed like ages. Then - we painstakingly picked out a new color, painted the whole place, hung the kitchen lights + outlets... Long muggy + productive days! Yesterday - we received and uncrated our equipment!

In a nutshell 🥥 Sh*ts getting REAL!!!

A few recent highlights -
Our very first would-be customer Super Johnny showing up hungry with a crumpled $20 bill in hand literally coming to the new Choice to eat, in hopes it was open… for some reason that made us feel like GAME ON!!
Designing the cabinets / kitchen boxes with our homie Max who built / co-owns Parlay - a true artisanLeaning into the motto “Done is Better Than Perfect”

Over the next two weeks, we will be doing the electrical and plumbing trim work, hustling to get ready for final inspections and putting some special touches on the store.. like vinyl window art, hanging our blade sign, and of course recreating our our iconic “shower tile” counter top circa our very first buildout in 2011. We will continue to post updates on our stories, and share some goofy behind the scenes action of course!

We are hesitant to float an opening date out there just yet as we don’t want to jinx what feels like major progress. But let’s just say that we have an “ambitious” timeline from here on out. And we have officially published an ad to look for our Wailea Store Manager and are starting to assemble a new dream team! If you know of any total rock stars that would be a good fit please let us know 🙏

Truly appreciate all of you who have reached out with excitement for this next chapter! South side - we are comin for ya!
