Your cheese lady is feeling a little Frankesnstein-ish this week but it seems that Jessica Winters, Tracy Anderson and All Good Craft Granola Bars have been holding down the lab. This Saturday is going to be massive at Old Beach Farmers Market! We have a completely full market lined up on 18th Street and so much good stuff going down.

First up, give a big welcome to L’s Sourdough joining the family! You are going to love their artisan loaves. We are also super excited to welcome back The Creamery to the lineup! Plus, all of our first Saturday vendors are back in the mix, so your favorite monthly lineup is ready for you.

And here is a big heads up: there are only two chances left this season to shop with O’s Donuts! Ally has been such a sweet part of our mornings, so let’s make sure we show up big and send Ally off right!

Come hungry, bring your tote bags, and spend your Saturday morning with us!

East Beach Farmers Market, Ocean View, Norfolk, VA CANCELED. But don’t forget Riffle Farms Market & Co-op is stocked with spreads. I was just out there yesterday refreshing the fridge.

Sometimes we must pivot. We already knew that tidal flooding on the streets surrounding the market and areas of Ocean View would be a problem (and the full moon does not help). As of this morning, the forecast for Saturday is also less favorable. For our coastal location, gusts of up to 40 mph are predicted—too much wind for tents. And the chance of rain has increased since yesterday. If it rains at all and we can’t put up tents, many vendors’ products and packaging get ruined. High winds also equal big problems for vendors with lightweight products. Considering all these factors, we’ve decided it’s best to cancel for this Saturday. We also hold a market in Hampton on Sundays, and the weather looks better. So please consider visiting us at Fort Monroe Farmers Market noon to 3pm Sunday. It’s just across the HRBT. You can stock up on local favorites there. And we’ll be back at Bay Oaks Park on October 3.

It is officially the last Saturday in September, and we are soaking up every single bit of this gorgeous early fall weather!
