I’m sitting here in Klode Park, listening to a meditation about happiness at 11:44 on a beautiful Friday morning. Nothing ahead of me more stressful than wrestling with the vegetable garden and a houseful of tweens for an afternoon hang session. Man, life is good.

And then I see this - mom and baby out for a picnic. Of course baby won’t remember but I can guarantee mom will think of this moment weekly until she can’t drum up memories any more.

Pan out to the left where adult son and older mom are sitting on a bench also enjoying a picnic. Mom’s dog is a wild one and son carried the Sendik’s bags. Their food is a little more gourmet than that at the table, but the sentiment is the same.

Moms’ hearts full of love and eyes filled with their babies, a good view, and a breeze filled with brilliant memories. Talk about your happiness meditation.

Here’s hoping you find something just as good today. ❤️

You know what? You’re a grownup. Make the cookie at 2 in the afternoon. Spend a Friday night doing what you want, not what they do. It’s all up to you!
