This one is for the small business owners who are feeling the pressure right now.
Summer can be tough. Sales slow down, customers travel, routines change, but the bills don’t stop. Rent is still due. Payroll still has to be paid. Inventory still has to be ordered. The lights still have to stay on.
At Jumpshot Coffee, we’re feeling some of that right now, and I wanted to share a real, honest moment about what it’s actually like owning a small business during slower seasons. Social media often shows the wins, but not always the stress, uncertainty, and hard decisions happening behind the scenes.
If you’re a fellow business owner going through a slow season, keep pushing. Keep showing up. Keep serving your customers. Some days success looks less like growth and more like simply refusing to quit.
To everyone who supports local businesses—whether it’s buying a coffee, sharing a post, leaving a review, or telling a friend—thank you. Those small actions make a bigger difference than you realize.
We’re going to keep showing up, keep working, and keep believing in what we’re building.
