Today, Munson Medical Center ordered lunch for one of their offices, and I’m so thankful they chose Clean Crumbles to feed their team.

There’s something especially meaningful about local businesses and organizations supporting one another. Behind every order is time spent in my kitchen, care poured into the food, and a very grateful woman getting to do what she loves.

Whether you stop in for a cookie, bring a friend for lunch, recommend the café, or trust me with an order for your office, you’re helping this little business grow. Thank you for continuing to show up for me and for this little café I’ve poured so much of myself into.

A little honesty and integrity go a long way.

If you order soup and I ask whether you’d like the 8-ounce cup or the 16-ounce bowl, and you specifically tell me “the 8-ounce will be enough,” I trust you to grab the size you paid for from the cooler.

Taking the 16-ounce instead means taking something you didn’t pay for. It might seem like a small thing, but when you’re running a small business and making every batch yourself, those things matter.

I have video footage of what happened, but I’m choosing to keep her photo private. My hope is that she sees this post and comes back to apologize or pay the difference for what she took.

I pour my heart and soul into this place and every bit of food I make. There are long days, late nights, and so much work behind everything on those shelves. I don’t deserve to have my trust taken advantage of.

Please take what you pay for. Honesty and integrity matter, even when you think no one is watching.

An 80-degree weekend in October? We can’t take that for granted!

It’s been a wonderful weekend at the café and I’m squeezing in as much kitchen prep as I can so I’m not here all day tomorrow. Even the girl who loves baking wants a little time outside while this weather lasts.

Our carrot cakes are ready for a little Sunday indulgence. Grab one to enjoy in the sunshine—gluten-free, dairy-free, and a sweet way to finish a beautiful weekend.

My sweet friend Tara stopped by and gifted me these beauties to add to the café. Earlier this year, she gave me two succulents for the café, too. Apparently, she knows the way to my heart is through plants.

My love of plants has always been part of what makes this space feel like me, and it means so much when someone adds a little piece of themselves to it, too. These three already feel right at home, and every time I look at them, I’ll think of the thoughtful friend who brought them here.

A long day in the kitchen prepping for the weekend, and I’m finally calling it a night. There’s always one more thing I could do, but I have done enough for today.

I’m looking forward to a busy weekend as people head north to take in the fall colors. There’s something so beautiful about seeing people travel to experience the place we’re lucky enough to call home. Even with how busy life gets, I hope we all find a little time to take it in, too.

A company down in Cadillac chose Clean Crumbles to supply the goodies for their year-end thank-you party for all of their employees, and I am beyond honored. Knowing that something I make here in my little café will be part of celebrating so many people and their hard work means so much to me.

There are some very long days and late nights ahead but I am so excited to take this on. Every order is meaningful, and this one has me stepping back for a moment to appreciate just how far this café has come.

Thank you for trusting me with a celebration that matters to you. I can’t wait to make it a little sweeter.
