One of the things we love most about the Tower Cafe is that, while we may be a little cafe in a little town in northern Minnesota, the people who walk through our doors come from near and far—and sometimes VERY far! ❤️
We are incredibly grateful for our local customers who support us, for the visitors who find us while traveling from across the country, and even for those who make their way to us from around the world.
Today, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting with Emma, who follows our Tower Cafe page all the way from Wales in the UK! 🇬🇧
Emma comes to the Tower/Ely area once a year and spends about three weeks here volunteering with the Wildlife Research Institute, founded by Dr. Lynn Rogers and known for its black bear research.
While she is here, she always makes a point of stopping by our little cafe in Tower. ❤️
How COOL is that?!
Moments like this remind us that the Tower Cafe has become about so much more than serving breakfast and lunch. It’s about people, community, conversations, and connections—and the opportunity to welcome people from right here at home, from across the country, and sometimes from across the ocean.
Emma, thank you for following along from Wales, for spending part of your time volunteering in our beautiful corner of Minnesota, and especially for making the Tower Cafe one of your stops whenever you’re here.
