Yesterday's Manchester Farmers & Makers Market went very well despite the fact we all thought it was going to rain. Fortunately, Mother Nature behaved herself so we all could try to get in some of that sun.
It was such a great feeling to have repeat customers come back to the table. I also met newcomers to the market as well, including a gentleman with a gorgeous British accent. I loved how he said he was 'interested in the curry, errr, the chili." I laughed and told the guy, "You can still call it curry, I know exactly what you mean!" Basically, if the dish is with rice and comes in a luscious sauce with a kick, it's technically a curry in another form. AHHHHH he made my day!
I tell folks that this is fully made from scratch, and here is the proof.
And this is paying off - people are already looking at this as "I don't have to cook when I get home after shopping at the market!" THAT is exactly why I wanted to target a farmer's market!
Now, as I limp in a damn near perfect tempo to my car, I am off to work! (left at 6am this morning)
