📚❤️ INTRODUCING RBTV SCHOOL OUTREACH
Before we ever opened the FREE COMMUNITY STORE to the general public, our focus was children.
Kids have always been innocent in all of this. They don’t control what bills are due, what happened at home, whether groceries are low, or whether their parents are having a hard month. They just know when they’re hungry, when they don’t have deodorant, clean socks, school supplies, or something as simple as a snack to get them through the day.
So we’re taking Raised By The Village into the schools. ❤️
We are currently in the process of connecting with local school districts and individual schools to launch RBTV School Outreach — bringing direct access to basic necessities to our community’s children where they already spend most of their day.
Our goal is to create a small RBTV resource area inside participating schools. It may be a shelf, cabinet, closet, or another small designated space depending on what works best for each school.
These areas can include things like:
• Kid-friendly, easy-to-make meals
• Snacks
• Shelf-stable milk
• Breakfast foods
• Hygiene kits
• Deodorant
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Body wash/shampoo
• Feminine hygiene products
• New socks
• Packs of plain T-shirts
• School supplies
• Other basic necessities the schools tell us their students need
Basically, many of the same items we collected back when Raised By The Village was focused strictly on our kids pantry — just now we’re working toward bringing those resources directly into the schools.
Raised By The Village will work directly with participating schools to learn what their students need, collect those items through our community, organize everything, and restock the schools weekly.
We are currently working through logistics with three local school districts and starting small so we can build this the right way and make sure it’s sustainable.
But the long-term goal?
❤️ RBTV Outreach resources available in every school we can possibly reach.
Because sometimes the thing affecting a child at school isn’t something most people even think about.
Maybe they didn’t eat before school.
Maybe they’re embarrassed because they don’t have deodorant.
Maybe they started their period and don’t have products.
Maybe they’re wearing the same socks again.
Maybe they don’t have what they need for class.
Something that seems small to us can affect a child’s confidence, concentration, attendance, participation, and entire school day.
If we can remove even ONE of those barriers for a child, it matters.

This is bigger than putting food on a shelf.
This is about making sure a child can walk into school and know that somewhere in that building, there is something there for them if they need it.
Bringing the village to where our children are. ❤️
