Unfortunately there will be no slices going out today 😕 we took last week off from cheesecakes to be apart of the Homegrown harvest festival out in Franklin!!

Today is Grandparents Day, and I wanted to share the woman behind the JOY. 💚

This is my Granny Joy—the only grandparent I ever knew and the inspiration behind our slogan, “We serve JOY, one slice at a time!”

She loved cooking, and I sure loved her cooking. I was the only grandchild to get a mention in her cookbook. Under her cornbread recipe, she wrote “little Joseph’s favorite.” I always caught flack from my cousins and family for being her favorite… but hey, I didn’t write the cookbook. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I wish she were still here to see this little cheesecake business of ours. To see what her love of cooking helped inspire, and how her name has become a part of everything we do.

Granny, I’d give anything for another seat at your table. Until then, I’ll keep sharing a little of the joy you gave me, one slice at a time. 💚
