For more than 250 years, The Red Lion Inn has welcomed guests through some of America's most defining chapters. Our roots alongside the founding of our nation run deep, something still symbolized today by the green tail on our iconic Red Lion sign, which historically signified support for the Revolutionary cause and the fight for freedom.

As America marks its 250th anniversary, we invite guests to engage with that history through a series of special programming and events, including:

🇺🇸 The Red Lion Inn: Three Years Older Than America
A special exhibition featuring the Inn's treasured archives, historic artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia on view in The Fitz Gallery.

🇺🇸 Voices of Democracy: 250 Years Creating America
A live performance on July 1 in the Courtyard bringing to life the voices, visions, and ideals that have shaped our nation from 1776 to today.

🇺🇸 Against All Odds: Victory in the War for Independence
A presentation by American historian Richard Skolnik PhD. exploring how the American Patriots achieved victory against extraordinary odds on June 28 in the Hitchcock Room.

Time moves differently beneath the red umbrellas.

We're pleased to officially welcome you back to the Courtyard, Wednesday - Sunday. Long one of the hallmarks of summer at the Inn, our flower-filled space invites guests to linger over lunch, gather for evening cocktails, and savor the sounds of live jazz every Sunday from 12–3 PM. We will begin daily service on June 20.
