Week 1: Build a Better Tee Shot

A great round starts with a solid tee shot.

This week, focus on three simple fundamentals that can help you hit more fairways and set yourself up for success on every hole:

• Setup: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and maintain a slight knee flex.

• Ball Position: With the driver, position the ball just inside your front heel.

• Smooth Swing: Let your shoulders turn and trust your swing. Trying to swing harder often leads to less control.

Practice Tip:
The next time you're at the range, hit 10 drives focusing only on making a smooth, balanced swing. Don't worry about distance—focus on solid contact and accuracy.

On-Course Focus:
Find the fairway. Most golfers lose more strokes from recovery shots than from hitting a slightly shorter drive.
