Drink a classic beer and support local history.

On Saturday, July 11th from 3 to 5 PM, Big Grove Solon is hosting the Solon Historical Foundation. We’re donating $1 from every pint of our OG Stone Academy Porter toward a new room for the historic building on Highway 1.

Don't miss the official keg tapping at 3:15 PM, and stick around for a raffle featuring a custom quilt, a handmade flight board, and a Big Grove LED sign. See you there!

Join Iowa State University Extension and Outreach @ Big Grove Solon to learn how to grow mushrooms in buckets!

Each participant will create a 2-gal bucket oyster mushroom grow kit to take home and nurture. They will discuss fungi basics, their roles in Iowa ecosystems, and common ways people cultivate mushrooms in their own homes and backyards.

Cost per participant is $35.
