Ten years ago The Baker & the Bass Player came to life~ sharing our bakery life, local food spots, recipes & bake for you live. Justin and I shared our genuine banter and joy with those who followed us! Justin suffered a severe stroke on Thursday and we are navigating scary waters~ if you are inclined please send prayers, good energy and light. Justin can sure use it. We had to create the very popular dot cake! The star of the show is yellow cake mix!! It is a must try! The dot cake is fun but I don't think we would wait in line for one!

is traveling so no cake quest this week! I used to work at a place called Mangia's in Slingerlands. The panzanella salad was my favorite! If you are so inclined cut up some tomatoes, toast a hearty bread and add some fresh mozzarella balls! I would add fresh basil if I had it! I tossed this in the dressing below! 👇🏻
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Dash of onion powder
Dash of garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
Mix & toss in salad!
*** I do sprinkle a little crushed red pepper on top
*** also adjust measurements to how large your salad is!
