🚨‼️DUALS HAS BEEN MOVED‼️🚨

In preparation of possible storms Duals on Desmond has moved to Athens High School

📢 DUALS ON DESMOND WEATHER & VENUE UPDATE 📢

After closely monitoring the forecast and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to relocate the event to the grounds of Athens Area High School.

This move gives us immediate access to the gymnasium if severe weather becomes an issue, while still allowing us the opportunity to keep the event outdoors.

IMPORTANT: This does NOT mean the event is moving indoors. Our plan is to remain outside for as long as possible and enjoy the unique atmosphere that has made Duals on Desmond special. The gym is simply our backup option should weather conditions require it.

⛈️ With the potential for thunderstorms and high winds later in the day, this decision allows us to be proactive while prioritizing the safety of our athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and fans.

Event Schedule Remains Unchanged
• 1:30 PM – Registration Opens
• 4:30 PM – Opening Ceremonies
• 4:45 PM – Youth Dual
• 6:00 PM – Girls Dual
• 7:45 PM – Boys Dual

🚗 Parking Information
Please utilize the available parking lots at:
• Harlan Rowe Middle School
• Lynch Elementary School
• Frederick Street Parking Lot

Fans will be able to walk through Alumni Stadium to access the event grounds.

We respectfully ask everyone to:
• Stay out of residents’ yards
• Avoid street parking whenever possible
• Be considerate of our neighbors and local traffic flow

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility. Our goal remains the same: provide an incredible day of wrestling while keeping everyone safe while maintaining the outdoor atmosphere that makes this event special.

We look forward to welcoming athletes, families, coaches, officials, and fans to Athens Area High School on June 6th!
