Since the Bean (as it’s known in the neighborhood) opened its doors in 2001, we’ve tried to make decisions that are good for our customers, our community, and our environment. Strangely enough, we also believe that this way of doing business is good for the bottom line. Our fair-trade coffee is organic, as is our produce and most of our staple ingredients. We seek out local products, don’t fry any

thing, and make most of our food from scratch. In 2019 all our plastic take away items became plant based and compostable, and we continue to recycle and compost. We host events organized by members of the community and we strive to be welcoming to even the strangest among us.

Today until December 17th We will be closing at 6 pm instead of our usual 7 pm for regular business although we have music and events on the weekends. Sorry for any inconvenience. The 18th we will be closing at 4 pm and will not be able to make espresso drinks after 2 for some maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.
