Today. Today is the anniversary of Restaurant Martin as we opened on September 24, 2009 with a w**e dinner during the Santa Fe W**e and Chile Fiesta. We had a sold out crowd but didn’t get our Certificate of Occupancy until 2pm that day and we weren’t even certain until that moment if our opening night would even be able to take place in our own restaurant! We started with a bang and never looked back. As many of you know, just a few weeks ago we were honored beyond our wildest imagination by Michelin and our inclusion and their first-ever guide to the Southwest. Today we received our plaque. When I woke up this morning, I realized that, fortuitously, we were receiving it on the day of our anniversary. Sometimes stars just align. It is with great pride and celebration that we will mount this plaque on the front of our building for all who enter to see and invite them to share in our celebration. Thank you for being part of our journey. Thank you for your continued support, patronage and friendship. 💯

Photo dump from one of the most amazing weeks of our professional lives. Never thought it would happen that Michelin would come to New Mexico, and it was a true dream that they selected us for their guide!

What made the entire event was being recognized in the company of our esteemed colleagues and friends. When you work in this business, you have very little time for socializing and getting to spend some intense quality time together, it was a dream come true. We enjoyed every minute of celebrating with New Mexico’s recipients and were honored to be among such company.

The list of our peers includes incredibly hard-working, talented, professionals that we are honored to call our friends. Here’s to spending much more time with them as we celebrate the embarrassment of riches MICHELIN Guide (official) has just brought to New Mexico. 🥂

We are deeply honored to share that Restaurant Martin has been selected for the 2026 MICHELIN Guide (official)

In their first ever guide to the Southwest, we are proud to be one of only seven restaurants across our great state to receive the honor of “Michelin recommends.”

As we approach the 17th anniversary of our opening, we celebrate this great award and strive every day to continue delivering on the premise of our restaurant, never to rest on our laurels, to always be more creative, more innovative and better than we were the day before.

This is truly one of the greatest honors of our professional career and we are incredibly thankful to Michelin and its inspectors for their recognition and appreciation of our dedication to our craft. We are grateful to our team, our family, our guests, our community and the great state of New Mexico for the ongoing support and love we are shown on a daily basis.
