Hook Fish Co. We prepare regionally-sourced seafood for local events and popups. Our events feature poke, fish tacos and ceviche, creating community around fish.

The average fish hits 7 hands before reaching a consumer. Our seafood either comes directly from a fisherman or a local wholesaler, who gets it directly from a fisherman—no unnecessary (and costly) steps in between. The result: more money in the hands of the fisherman.

Protecting our environment shouldn’t mean disconnecting communities from their local food supply.

At Hook Fish Co, our mission is to connect people with fishers who are also our neighbors.

We support marine conservation, but question the proposed expansion of the Duxbury Reef Marine Protected Area, which could eliminate important fishing grounds for our local community.

We started Hook Fish Co to connect you, our community, more directly with local fisheries.

In mid-October, California Fish & Game will vote on a proposal (Petition 2023-MPA23) to restrict fishing in an area of Marin County. We regularly supply Hook Fish Co with fish caught in this proposed area of closure. If the proposal passes, these small commercial fishers’ livelihoods will be impacted.

To urge denial of this proposed closure, take action before Thursday October 8 at noon. Tap the link in our bio to send a pre-written letter.

Local, CA King Salmon is back and available at both locations (SF and Mill Valley) today and into this weekend! We are super stoked to rekindle working with a handful of local fishers to bring it back to the menu. It has been a rough 3 year closure for the commercial fishing fleet, and this year’s season will be spotty between the quotas, restrictions, and limited allowable fishing windows.
