The DK Experience is the second kind.
Six courses.
This experience is built around a whole roasted duck that Chef Tim takes seven days to prepare before it ever hits your table. Not because he has to. Because that’s the only way to do it right.
Here’s what a night looks like:
You are received by Grayce, the DK General Manager. She knows immediately who you are because you booked your reservation online and called to reserve the DK Experience.
With a smile, she sits you at your usual table. You order your favorite drink on the menu, and start looking at the new items, looking for hidden gems. Because DK has a lot of these.
Then your server brings you your first course. It is the inimitable DK Marinated Cucumbers. Small refreshing bites that set the tone and tell you immediately that nothing here was rushed or phoned in. Then comes the hot and sour soup. For the third course, Chef Joe brings you personally his best dish. The handmade award winning DK Potstickers. These babies showcase what Drunken Kitchen does better than anyone else in Utah. The next course is our best seller…The Dan Dan Noodles! And then the duck arrives.
Whole. Roasted. Lacquered. Presented by Chef Tim himself.
The skin cracks. The meat pulls apart in a way that only happens when something has been given real time and real attention. Served with Chinese scallions pancakes, heaping amounts of food, homemade chili ginger sambal and tangerine sauce… This is not just dinner. It’s the reason we, the whole DK Team, opened this restaurant: to cook the way it’s supposed to be done, without shortcuts.
And to finish an unforgettable evening with us, here is the 6th and final course. The warm and delicious sea salt and bourbon caramel brownie. It will haunt your dreams until the next time you order it.
