HOY fam — no lechon today, and possibly the next couple of days. 🌬️

Gale-force winds over 45 mph are hitting the Outer Banks hard, and it’s just too dangerous to fire up the grill. We have to think about the safety of our crew and you, our customers.

We know the cravings are real, but safety first. We’ll keep you updated right here as soon as it’s safe to roast again.

BAD NEWS: HOY LECHON Food Truck is CLOSED TODAY.

Why? Our Chief Lechonero has a doctor’s appointment. Even the boss needs a tune-up.

Doctor said: “No lechon smoke for you today.”
Chief Lechonero said: “Doc, my customers will hunt me down!”

GOOD NEWS: It’s just a check-up + follow-up. Nothing serious. He’ll be back tomorrow, medically cleared to make your favorite crispy lechon again. Sorry for the craving emergency! Salamat sa pag-intindi po! 🙏

We’re working quickly with our to resolve the issue and plan to reopen as soon as possible.

Hey Hoy fam, due to the weather today we’re putting safety first. HOY! LECHON will be open for lunch only, until 2 PM, weather permitting. If conditions change we may close earlier. Stay safe out there. We’ll be back with more crispy as soon as we can.

Hoy Lechon fam, we won’t be open today. My car overheated on the way to the food truck and we can’t make it in safely. Really sorry to anyone who was planning to swing by. We hate missing a day with you. We’ll be back tomorrow, hotter than the engine and with extra crispy skin to make it up. Thank you for understanding.
