New keys, new chapter!

This week we’re celebrating Jai and her brand new car — one more step toward the future she’s building for herself. Moments like this are what makes this community special, and we’d love for you to be part of it too.

Come see what we’re all about!

Some words just need to be shared!

“Serving as the Executive Director of Carroll’s Kitchen has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to serve my community and walk alongside so many incredibly strong women — celebrating in their achievements, supporting them through hardships, and connecting with their families. I love Carroll’s Kitchen, I love our team, I love our Raleigh community, and I love my job!”

— Makenzie Meeker , Executive Director of Carroll’s Kitchen

Some stories need to be told & this is one of them.

Meet Dusabe!

Through Carroll’s Kitchen’s Restorative Employment Model, Dusabe mastered her culinary skills — learning quality control, recipe use, and kitchen safety. But it didn’t stop there. She made a commitment to her mental and physical health, discovered peaceful hobbies, and built a strong, supportive community around her!

Carroll’s Kitchen gave her something she hadn’t had in a long time — realistic hope for a better future.

Today, Dusabe is thriving. She landed a new job, walks to and from work every day, and her supervisor describes her as having an excellent work ethic and being a valued team member.

This is exactly why Carroll’s Kitchen exists — not just to serve good food, but to be part of stories like this one. 🤍

It takes a village — and we’re so thankful for ours! 🌱

We are so grateful to have neighbors like right here in Raleigh. A nonprofit urban farm doing beautiful, meaningful work to connect this community to fresh local food — and doing it with so much heart.

When organizations like ours show up for the same community, everybody wins. Thank you for being part of our village, Raleigh City Farm. We are so glad you’re here! 💚
