Happy Founder’s Day Put-in-bay! Today we celebrate the people, stories and history that helped shape our little Island.
The Forge was built around the story of the original blacksmith shop that once stood here. Inside the restaurant, you can still see the many tools used by the blacksmith, along with the anvil where horseshoes were forged. The front patio is also home to a piece of Island history, serving as the site of Put-in-Bay’s first gas pump.
There’s a lot of history at 451 Catawba Avenue and we’re proud to preserve it, share it, and keep it story alive for future generations! ❤️
