We’re honored to feature the work of Jean-Paul Jacquet on the bag for our new Komodo coffee.

JP is a painter, sculptor, published illustrator, muralist, and educator based in Connecticut, where he serves as Artist in Residence at Pomfret School. His expressive, figurative work is shaped by culture, community, and a lifetime of travel, resulting in art that is both deeply personal and globally inspired.

In addition to painting, JP creates sculptures and murals and has spent many summers teaching young artists at L’Atelier au Château, an art retreat in France. We’re grateful to showcase his work as part of the story behind Komodo!

New coffee. New dragon. New Komodo.

Grown at nearly 1,600 meters in the Waghi Valley, Komodo is an A/X grade washed coffee, the highest quality grade awarded in Papua New Guinea. It's produced from harvests grown on small family farms and milled at the Kuta Coffee Mill, where farmers are rewarded with quality bonuses for consistently delivering exceptional coffee cherries. The mill is also a remarkable collaboration between the traditionally rival Ulga and Kolga tribes, as they work together to produce outstanding coffee.

Papua New Guinea coffees are known for their rich body and deeply satisfying sweetness, and Komodo is no exception, with tasting notes of black tea, honey, and papaya.

To celebrate its arrival, Komodo is 20% off on our website Saturday, August 1 through Sunday, August 2. No code needed, just add it to your cart and the discount will be applied automatically. Link in bio!

Once the online launch sale ends, Komodo will also be available in the cafe .ri. We can't wait for you to try it!

Whoa. Just look at these summer coffee drinks from our friends Feed The Cheeks and every single one is made with New Harvest Coffee! If you haven't been yet, this is your sign.

Feed The Cheeks started out small (like us!), and this beloved family-owned bakery has expanded from an apartment kitchen into a thriving café with nationwide shipping. They're known for incredible cookies, legendary cookie cakes, and their fun and unique beverage menu. Watching small businesses like theirs grow is one of our favorite things, and we admire their passion and commitment to the community. Stop by and say hi this summer!

This year, we're celebrating 25 years of New Harvest Coffee, and we're thankful to everyone who has helped make the journey possible.
Founded in 2000 by Rik Kleinfeldt and Paula Anderson, New Harvest began with a simple mission: to make extraordinary coffee accessible to real people. In the early days, Rik roasted coffee solo in an industrial shed at the old Washburn Wire factory.

Today, our team is larger, but we're still guided by the same commitment to quality and care that started it all. You can find us roasting coffee (and serving coffee and cocktails at New Harvest Coffee & Spirits!) at the eco-friendly Farm Fresh Food Hub in Providence.

Every roast honors the work of the farmers and producers who grow our coffee. Through careful roasting, regular cuppings, and thoughtful packaging, we're proud to deliver a consistently exceptional cup, and to be part of the growing Valley neighborhood.

Thank you to everyone who's been part of our journey over the years - we couldn't have done it without you!
