In partnership with Nossa Familia Coffee, youth learn to become baristas in PDX while receiving consistent, on-going mentorship.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 1:00pm; Closed: March 23rd-March 30th, 2026. In partnership with Nossa Familia Coffee, p:ear barista school offers an in-depth, on-site, ten week training exploring all aspects of becoming a barista in today’s competitive market – from understanding bean sourcing, to milk textures, to customer service and basic money management. The program helps to build their co

nfidence and their resumes, and provides consistent, on-going mentorship while youth engage in the activities associated with learning the beautiful art and science of preparing and serving exceptional coffee. Once the students graduate from the training, they can apply to run the retail window, serving some of the best espresso drinks in town!

🐱DRINK OF THE MONTH 🐱
The Meow Meow Matcha was voted the most popular drink during Barista School! This fan favorite combines sweet strawberry syrup, creamy oat milk, and matcha, layered together and served over ice. 🍓🍵

We’re having a pop-up tomorrow morning from 7AM–11:30AM in ’s gallery space!

has been hard at work tending to the flowers, and now it’s time to enjoy them at their fullest! We’ll have handcrafted bouquets available alongside our full coffee bar, serving all of your favorite classic drinks. AND every drink will be topped with pansies grown in our very own flower garden. ☕️🌸

Stop by to grab something for yourself (or someone you love), and while you’re at it, take a look at our flower garden on 4th & Burnside. We can’t wait to see you!

We’re back at the Portland Flea this Sunday, July 26th, from 11AM–4PM! 🍹 Our booth will be just to the left of the main entrance at The Redd, where we’ll be hanging out with p:ear gallery and flower works by p:ear!

We’ll be serving up a lineup of refreshing summer drinks, including our NEW Strawberry + Mint Lemonade, along with our signature Peach + Thyme Arnold Palmer and Honey + Lavender Spritz. 🍓🍑🍋✨

Come say hi, grab a drink, and enjoy the cooler weather. We can’t wait to see you!

This week, Barista School ventured out for our Cafe Tour! 🏙️

We got to check out Deadstock Coffee’s super rad new space (conveniently right across the street from our flower garden, so of course we had to stop by there too 🌼). Then we headed to one of our favorite spots, CADEJO, where we played a few rounds of tic-tac-toe.

We wrapped up the tour at Guilder Coffee Company’s cafe inside Powell’s Books, where we got to see all they have to offer. P.S. We currently have an art exhibition up at Guilder’s NE location—go check it out if you haven’t already! 🎨

Today is Noah’s last shift at our coffee window! ☕️

Throughout his time at , Noah has participated in all three of our p:ear works programs—, , and now . He’s brought enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Outside of p:ear, Noah has a wide range of interests and talents. He enjoys making music, skateboarding (and tech decking), and is currently training for a 10K.

If you don’t catch him at the coffee window today, you’ll probably find him out in the garden tending to our new blooms. 🌸
