Greekfest Restaurant

Greekfest Restaurant If you are looking for the intersection between high-quality food and an atmosphere conducive to dialogue, Greekfest Restaurant should be your destination.

With over 30 years of experience, we guarantee that you will have an impeccable time. Greekfest hosts a unique Greek dining environment where all the things that make life most enjoyable come together through a celebration of food, wine, good company, spirited music, and memorable conversation. Tradition and research have combined to make Greekfest the quintessence of the Greek Island atmosphere a

nd culinary experience; its design and decoration exemplify the cultural, social, and aesthetical Hellenic Archipelago. Greekfest prizes itself on its reputation for culinary innovation and excellence. With a great variety of fresh seafood and delicately prepared lamb entrees, Greekfest robustly captures the essence of European (Mediterranean) cuisine and fuses it with dynamism and innovation. Specialties at Greekfest include the freshly flown-in seafood (halibut, swordfish, salmon, etc) and prime domestic lamb entrees (Exohiko, Arni Psito, Rack of Lamb, etc). Traditional Greek favorites such as Mousaka, Pastitsio, and Youvetsi are prepared in steaming ceramic pots, while lamb and chicken souvlakis are turned on the souvla over crackling fires. Greekfest houses one of the most comprehensive Greek wine lists in both the United States and Europe, many wines of which have earned international prestige in Bordeaux and similar regions. A great variety of “mezethes” (appetizers) populate the menu to delightfully complement the lunch and dinner entrees. Greekfest desserts are prepared with ritualistic family tradition, and include favorites such as Baklava (uniquely prepared with four varieties of nuts) and Galaktoboureko (flavored with mastiha and individually wrapped). Your table at Greekfest is a table of pleasure and memory. Our mission is to make your visit to Greekfest a visit to Greece. As we say in Greece “Kalos Orisate” (welcome) and we wish you “Kali Orexi” (have a good appetite).

Since we all consume, by using discernment we can make good decisions. Whether it is food – turning away from processed food and choosing healthy, unadulterated ingredients or more intrinsic matters such as what we allow into our heart, mind and soul; we determine healthy choices. When it comes to food, we know Tony uses as much from his garden as possible and certainly makes everything from scratch. Whether you are planning a simple meal for friends such as Pastitsio or want to impress with a grand, elegant all-out feast such as roast leg of lamb - enjoy! To live meaningfully, we must endeavor to move forward on the correct path. Let’s remember to keep our eyes looking up! “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” (Ps. 33:12).

Anyone remember the phrase: “How sweet it is?” Yup for those of us over 30+ Jackie Gleason used to say it. Susan shares that Tony’s dessert: Rizogolo crème brulee delights all the taste buds - yummy. Let’s go one step further and say how sweet is the love of our Lord for each individual. He reminds us - ”Be still and see the Salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today.”

Do we miss talking to all of you? Yes!!! I know, it is supposed to be all about the food but let's face it, sometimes the food for the heart and soul is far more important. Just so Tony doesn't scold me, let me mention his fabulous cuisine for a moment: we all know that processed food is bad for us and that's why Tony's cooking is so amazing. Everything he does is from scratch, (example, his 7 grain bread to his incredible salad dressing made with EVOO, feta cheese and other herbs and spices). Now if you will allow me, given we are all faced with too many challenges remember this from the Psalms: "I will teach you and instruct you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with My eye upon you." Stay strong and healthy.

To all our precious friends and wonderful guests: by now you know that Tony and Susan, owners are only doing takeout. After 42+ years of enjoying dining in we are now limited to reduced hours and strictly takeout. We miss engaging in fabulous conversations with our guests. We left no subject untouched: from philosophy to business to world events and how they should be solved - well we truly miss all of our wonderful conversations with each of you. For the time being we will wait and see what our next steps shall be and trust that each of you will enjoy good health and optimism as you go forth. Blessings on all of you. Sue/Tony

We have transitioned into take out which includes pre-ordering family style meals such as this scrumptious shrimp casserole: herbed shrimp married together with fresh oregano/basil tomato sauce, "krithiraki" pasta topped with crunchy bechamel sauce & a taste of feta. Delicious! Yes, time for new beginnings: "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven." (Eccles. 3;1).
