I will never forget the day that terrorist cowards attacked our great nation and our way of life! 🏛 They thought if they could attack the idea of freedom, our homeland and all that America stands for. They thought we would be shaken and fall as a people, but they were wrong.
I remember America uniting in the moment of devastation and catastrophe! 🤞👫
I remember people forgetting their differences and uniting with their fellow Americans, despite race, political views, or socioeconomic differences. 👨💼👨🌾👩🏫🧓👨💻🧕👳♂️
We all agreed that our love for our country and each other as Americans and as people was more important than the differences that divided us! We acted as one and stood strong as such! That is what got us through such a terrible and difficult time!🤝🙏
Today, I look around 25 years later, and that America is unrecognizable. I see division, animosity, angst😤, anger🤬, hatred and petty bickering. Trolls attacking people on social media, people attacking each other, politicians and the media working diligently to force us to choose a side and to divide our nation.
We've allowed the evil of this world to divide us as a people, we've allowed that evil of this world to turn us against each other just because of our differences.
We have now seen that a difference of opinion is no longer tolerable, but instead it leads to being killed…
But we must remember not to let hatred and evil win. I choose instead to shine the light of Jesus Christ into the darkness of this world. Pray for those who persecute us, because if they come to faith, they become a brother and sister rather than an enemy. I would much rather have no enemies and more brothers and sisters in Christ.
We must also remember that we are all brothers and sisters of this Great Nation.
We should all be able to have beliefs and views that differ from one another without anger and violence. We should be able to discuss our differences without pointing our finger and blaming the "other side"! 👉👈
We need to remember that the problem and solution both start with US! We have the choice to follow, or lead. We have the choice to love, or hate. We have the choice to come together, or separate based on our differences!🤯
I personally chose to be the solution. What do you choose?
Father God please bless America, and all who call her home, Lord we need your love, your healing, your joy and your patience and most of all your saving Grace. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
