The Meor Penn students had the privilege of beginning a journey of learning and reflection in Berlin, hosted by .bondarev & at Olami Germany.
The pre-trip to our upcoming Poland experience provided invaluable context as we explored key moments in Germany’s history. Visits to the Brandenburg Gate, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Reichstag, and the House of the Wannsee Conference offered a window into the events that shaped the world and profoundly impacted Jewish history.
We also shared meaningful group bonding, exploring the vibrant city of Berlin together—from Alexanderplatz and shuffleboard to the Ice Bar and the castle at Potsdam.
The highlight of the trip was Shabbat in Berlin, as we connected with the local Jewish community and celebrated with 80 students from Olami Germany. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of Jewish life.
This trip set the stage for what we will encounter next week in Poland, grounding us in history and deepening our understanding as we prepare for the next chapter of this transformative journey.
