🌽🥚 Why Salted Egg in Street Corn Salad?

Because in Thailand, we love taking something simple and giving it a little unexpected twist.

Street corn is already one of those foods that brings back memories—sweet corn grilled over the heat, smoky aromas filling the street, and people stopping for a quick bite. At Thaim, we wanted to take that familiar street-food feeling and make it our own.

So we added salted egg 🥚✨

Rich, savory, slightly salty, and deeply umami, salted egg brings out the natural sweetness of the corn and gives every bite an extra layer of flavor. Add fresh herbs, a little spice, crunch, and that smoky sweetness—and suddenly, street corn becomes something you can't stop eating.

Sweet 🌽 + Salty 🥚 + Spicy 🌶️ + Fresh herbs 🌿

A familiar Thai flavor combination, reimagined as a street corn salad.

Simple street food. Big flavor. A little bit unexpected.

That's Thaim. 🇹🇭🛺

🔥 Uncle’s Fried Chicken meets Samakkee Lager 🍗🍺
Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor—our Uncle’s Fried Chicken is the kind of Thai street food you want to grab, share, and keep coming back for.

And then there’s Samakkee Lager. 🇹🇭🍺

A unique craft lager with delicate, light hops and a crisp, refreshing finish. Every sip brings a little surprise—subtle at first, then more character with each taste.
Samakkee means unity or togetherness in Thai—a beer made for bringing people together over great food and good times.
🍗 Crispy chicken.

🍺 A uniquely hoppy lager.

❤️ Good people around the table.
Uncle’s Fried Chicken + Samakkee Lager = a perfect Thai street food pairing.

"Kor Moo" means pork neck or pork jowl,
"Yang" means grilled.
Together, Kor Moo Yang simply means Thai grilled pork neck—one of the most beloved dishes found at street food stalls across Thailand.

A must-try at Thaim 🔥 Street Kor Moo Yang 🇹🇭

Kor Moo Yang (คอหมูย่าง) is one of the most iconic dishes you’ll find at Thai street food stalls. Traditionally, pork jowl is grilled slowly over charcoal until smoky, beautifully charred, and perfectly juicy. The best part? Dipping every bite into spicy, tangy Jaew sauce. 🔥

For many Thai people, Kor Moo Yang is more than just grilled pork—it’s the kind of street food we grow up sharing with friends and family, often served with fresh vegetables and sticky rice.

At Thaim, we bring that familiar taste and memory from Thailand to Old Pasadena: smoky grilled pork jowl, served with our signature Jaew sauce and fresh farmer’s vegetables. 🌿

Smoky. Juicy. Spicy. A true taste of Thai street food. ❤️🇹🇭

🦐 Goong Ob Woon Sen — a taste of Old Bangkok.

Juicy shrimp and silky glass noodles baked in a hot pot with garlic, ginger, and fragrant Thai herbs, then served with our signature spicy cilantro seafood sauce 🌿🌶️

Savory, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with a bright, spicy kick — just the way we love it in Thailand. 🇹🇭✨

After Hours: Green-Old Bangkok Wok 🥬🔥

When the doors close, the wok comes alive.

Our Green-Old Bangkok Wok Chinese Broccoli is inspired by the late-night street food stalls of Bangkok—simple, smoky, savory, and made for that perfect bite of steamed rice. 🌙

Chinese broccoli (คะน้า) has always been a favorite in Thai street food. You’ll find it sizzling in hot woks at roadside stalls, night markets, and after-hours food spots all over Thailand. The secret is high heat, a quick toss, and plenty of wok hei—so the greens stay crisp while picking up that irresistible smoky flavor.

At Thaim, we bring that Old Bangkok feeling to Old Pasadena. 🇹🇭✨

After hours. Hot wok. Old Bangkok soul.

A huge thank you to The Infatuation Los Angeles Infatuation Los Angeles for sharing such a beautiful story about Thaim. ❤️

As a small restaurant, every opportunity to tell our story means so much to us. Thaim is more than just Thai food — it’s a little piece of Old Bangkok, inspired by the flavors, memories, and food I grew up with, brought to Old Pasadena.

Opening Thaim has been a journey filled with challenges, hard work, and so many moments of doubt. To see our food and story recognized and shared in this way is incredibly meaningful to our entire team.

Thank you for taking the time to experience Thaim, understand what we’re trying to create, and share our story with your readers.

We’re so grateful. 🙏💚

Come by, eat with us, and hopefully feel a little bit of Bangkok in Pasadena in the way of I'm.
