Orlando has such a vibrant chef community, and we’ve gotten a taste of a lot of their talent here at The Kitchen House! But there’s a special bunch we feel extra lucky to know: our brilliant Chef Ambassadors, whose passion for real food has led them to help our work grow💚

🔥🫂Chef Kevin Fonzo Kevin Fonzo of La Tavola, Chef Jamie McFadden Jamie McFadden of Cuisiniers Catering & Events, Chef Fabrizio Schendardi Fabrizio Schenardi of Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Chef Wendy Lopez Wendy Lopez of Reyes Mezcaleria | Orlando’s Authentic Mezcal Experience and Sparrow Orlando, Chef Lordfer Lalicon Lordfer Lalicon of Kaya | Neighborhood Restaurant & Bar, and Chefs James and Julie Petrakis jamespetrakis Julie Petrakis of The Ravenous Pig The Ravenous Pig

These incredible chefs and friends donate their time and talent at our fundraisers, and have given some of our students really memorable culinary experiences too! This year, City of Orlando City of Orlando Families, Parks and Recreation Neighborhood Center kids are going home from their 3-part cooking series at The Kitchen House with cookbooks developed by our Chef Ambassadors, so they can share truly delicious recipes at home with their families.

Thank you, Chef Ambassadors!🌱💚

The deli container mocktail trend is one we can get behind this summer, especially when we get the chance to add some garden greens🌿

We went with basil for this one, but mint is a great option too! Want to make it boozy? We’ll leave those measurements up to you. The real hero ingredient here is the white cranberry juice, so grab a gallon you can use all summer long.

Cheers!🍹😋

A lot of students learned how to cook healthy whole foods at The Kitchen House in 2025! But our goal is bigger.

In 2027, we want to bring 400 kids to The Kitchen House to give them the skills to eat well for a lifetime–for free. We can’t do this without community support, so come take a garden-to-kitchen class, bring a friend who’s never heard of us, and consider making a donation so we can share this experience with the kids who need it most. Camps are in full swing, with kids exploring the garden and discovering confidence and curiosity in the kitchen. All while learning to love real food that’s really good for them!

There are still some spots left for our July 6th-10th summer camp, where campers cook their way around the world each day of the week. Link in bio to sign up!

Welcome back, Rock Lake Neighborhood Center!

This was such a successful program with City of Orlando City of Orlando Families, Parks and Recreation in 2025, we just had to repeat it in 2026! These students will come to The Kitchen House three times to learn how they can cook the ingredients growing in their Neighborhood Center garden, and go home with tools to practice with their families.

We can’t host programs like these without community support. Your gift helps students grow–link in bio.

Summer heat is here, so let’s water smart!

💧Water deeply 2–3 times a week, rather than frequent, shallow waterings
💧Use mulch to prevent evaporation and keep your water in the soil
💧Feel the dampness of the soil before choosing whether to water–especially after a summer storm!
