Today is a very sad day at Olean Food Barn as we mourn the passing of Tammy Williams.

For those of us who worked with Tammy and knew her well, we can almost hear her saying, “I’m quitting. Today is my last day.” She said it every day, without fail—and somehow, she always made us laugh. That familiar joke was just one of the many things that made Tammy so special.

Tammy was so much more than an employee to us. She was a cherished part of our store family. She worked hard, cared about her job, and brought a warm, genuine spirit to everyone around her. Tammy was funny, caring, and truly one of a kind.

As an owner, you meet and work with many people over the years, but every once in a while, someone leaves a lasting impression on your heart. Tammy was one of those people. I am grateful for the time she spent with us, for the dedication she gave to her work, and most of all, for the kindness, memories, and laughter she shared with all of us.

It is difficult to say goodbye to someone who became such a familiar and meaningful part of our everyday lives. The deli will not feel quite the same without Tammy, and we will always miss hearing her say, “Today is my last day.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tammy’s family, friends, coworkers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Tammy. Thank you for being exactly who you were. You will never be forgotten. ❤️
