Sometimes the biggest stories begin in the most unexpected places. ❤️💙
In 1991, recent Houghton College graduate Kim Kerr walked through the doors of The Old Library with her college roommate.
The two were planning to head to Alaska to work at a fishing camp and needed to earn money for the trip, so they stopped in to apply for jobs.
That same day, Terry Pegula was at The Old Library having lunch with employees from his company, East Resources.
Kim and Terry struck up a conversation and exchanged contact information.
A few weeks later came their first date. Terry later offered Kim a job at East Resources, and in 1993, they were married.
Twenty years after that chance meeting, Terry and Kim purchased the Buffalo Sabres in 2011. And in 2014, they became the owners of the Buffalo Bills. ❤️💙
It's pretty incredible to think that before all of that, there were simply two people whose paths happened to cross right here in Olean.
For more than a century, people have walked through these doors and started chapters they didn't yet know they were beginning.
We're pretty proud that this one began at The Old Library.
Go Bills. ❤️💙
