Something big is brewing in Old Fort! 🍻

We’re bringing an AMB Outpost to Modern Alchemist. A new laid-back taproom experience inspired by our Boone roots and Mills River vibes. Expect 12 rotating taps, elevated Southern pub fare, dog-friendly hangs, and the welcoming atmosphere you know and love from AMB.

“We’ve heard the feedback and we’re bringing it. We are excited to deliver a taste of Boone to Old Fort with a piece of Appalachian Mountain Brewery.” Nathan Kelischek Co-founder and President.

Set inside the historic former sock factory in Old Fort, the new Appalachian Mountain Brewery Outpost is built to be your go-to spot after a ride, hike, or day exploring Pisgah.

Upstairs, the Modern Alchemist Co. Lounge will continue serving handcrafted cocktails, beer, THC/CBD beverages, and non-alcoholic options overlooking the distillery floor. All fans of Modern Alchemist, we will be open and operating through the transition.
