📌 What is Watershed?
117 acres of mountain bike trails, craft beer, slow-smoked BBQ, live music, and river access tucked into the mountains of Western North Carolina. Ride trails or don't, wade in the river, and settle into a cold beer and a BBQ plate without ever moving the car. Bring the kids, bring the group, bring whoever needs a good day outside.
⏰ Hours
Open Wed–Sun, 11am–8pm. Trail access available as early as 7 a.m. when you book passes and rentals at least 24 hours in advance.
🍔 Food
Part of the Foothills Farm & Butchery family, a homegrown family-owned LLC built around responsibly raised meat from trusted local farmers, butchered at our women-led . The BBQ here is the real deal: slow-smoked and made with intention. Plates, sandwiches, seasonal sides, Foothills classics, vegetarian options, a kids' menu, and dessert. Come hungry.
🍺 Brewery
Watershed is home to Butcher Babe Brewing Company, a small-batch craft brewery right here on-site. Lagers from light to dark, IPAs with hops you've actually heard of, crushable pilsners, pale ales, and more on a rotating tap list. Watch the brew process from the taproom and chat with the brewers when they're around.
Beer stays in Basecamp unless you grab a packaged beer or crowler to take down to the water. No drinking and riding, no exceptions.
☀️ Things To Do
Not here to ride? Wade in the river, hang a hammock, let the kids loose in the sand pit, and post up on the patio. Live music, bluegrass, and the occasional line dancing lesson are always on the cards at Basecamp.
🚲 Here to shred? Frontcountry is free for everyone: dirt jumps, pump track, beginner skill loop, and river and pond access. Backcountry is where it gets serious: loamers, steep flow, progressive jumps, rocky gaps, and step-ups designed to level you up. Passes start at $16/day for youth and $24/day for adults, with group, monthly, and annual options available.
Rentals from our on-site bike shop: E-MTB $99 / Dirt Jumpers $45 / Hardtails $45 / Kids Bikes $35 / Helmets $10. Protective gear available for purchase.
