Have you tried our Cuban style Picadillo yet?? What are you waiting for? 😊
This is what I put in our Cuban style empanadas.
Ground meat, olives, red pepper, green pepper, onion, fresh garlic, potatoes in a savory seasoned sauce with a touch of white and red wine vinegar.

Chilli season is coming soon and I can’t wait! I made this last fall with cornbread baked on top and It was so good!!

I will be at Oak Lawn Community High School District 229 on September 12th from 11-3pm.
They will be having an event to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month! They will have games for kids, dance performances and other food and craft vendors.
We will have Cuban sandwiches $8, Cuban style Picadillo and Puerto Rican style chicken and cheese empanadas $4. Each, for sale. We will also have pop and candy at our table. If you’re in the neighborhood feel free to stop by our table!

For Fridays empanada special, I can also make them as a bowl, if you do not want them in a empanada shell. Which is just the rice with the Picadillo on top. I’m thinking I will not have too many of these but just in case, I know kids can be picky sometimes. I will offer them for $8. The bowl is 16 oz otherwise you will get 2 empanadas with Puerto Rican rice for $12. 😊

Good Morning, so the empanadas won by a landslide but if you wanted the Cuban sandwiches I will be at Oak Lawn high-school, September 12th from 11-3pm. I will have another post with all the info for that event.

🚨 This Friday, September 4th, we will have 2 Cuban style empanadas with Puerto Rican rice special for $12. Delivery will be at the Jewel parking lot in Oak Forest at 5pm. If you cannot meet me there, we can drop off to your home after delivery. 5:30ish and local delivery is free. To place your order please text me at (352)342-2465, message me here on our page or put your order in, on the comments and I will reply back to confirm. Last day to place your order will be Thursday September 3rd. I’m only taking so many orders so food stays hot and fresh, so I recommend getting your order in sooner than later. If I were to have a special on Friday for delivery which would you prefer, Cuban sandwiches and Puerto Rican rice or Cuban style Picadillo empanadas and Puerto Rican rice? $12.
The one that has the most requested will be our special on Friday. Pick up will be at the Jewel in Oak Forest unless you don’t have transportation then we will deliver to your home. Delivery is free as long as you’re local. I will only have a special once this month so if you’re craving Puerto Rican or Cuban food, here’s your chance. Thanks ~Nelly

FYI: I did sign up for an event on September 12th in Oak lawn and I will be selling the same besides the rice but I haven’t received confirmation yet.
