We finally made it to Louisa's Pizza and Pasta in Crestwood IL! Kara and I have been supporting each other’s businesses online ever since I moved back to the area, so getting to meet her in person completely made my day. The restaurant has such a warm, homey vibe—honestly, I kind of wish we had dined in instead of getting takeout!
Now, we are strictly a thin-crust household. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a full slice of deep dish in my life... until today! And wow, it was absolutely excellent. The bruschetta (one of my absolute favorite appetizers) was just as amazing. But the real star? The banana chocolate cake. Oh my goodness, it was a 20 out of 10! And no, I did not share a single bite. 😂🍕🍰

Good morning ☀️
So unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of my cabbage topping I used for tacos I made yesterday for dinner, that I had with homemade Mexican rice and pinto beans with chorizo. Here’s a recipe just incase you want to try it. It was very, very good and I think I’m going to eat my tacos like this more often.
*Just so I have a picture for show I used a homemade rice I made about a month ago and I do have a recipe for it on my page, just look under pictures on page*

Cabbage taco topping 🌮 🥬

Purple cabbage-shredded
Garlic powder and cumin powder (I did a little less then 1/2 a tsp but it’s to your liking)
Salt & pepper( I used Himalayan pink salt and grinder pepper, just a touch)
1/2 -1 lime again to your liking
About 1/2 a cup of either mayo or sour cream or both but I used sour cream.
