Only 3 bottles in the United States.

Some wines are rare because they are difficult to find.
Others are rare because they changed the course of wine history.

🍷 Le Pergole Torte 2022 Jeroboam (3L) is one of Italy’s most iconic wines, produced by Montevertine from some of the estate’s oldest Sangiovese vines, planted in 1968 in Radda in Chianti.

Created by founder Sergio Manetti, Le Pergole Torte became legendary when Montevertine chose to break away from the conventions of Chianti and bottle pure Sangiovese on its own terms. A bold decision at the time, and one that helped redefine Tuscan wine.

Beyond the wine itself, every vintage is instantly recognizable for its celebrated label artwork, created from a tradition that began in 1982 with artist Alberto Manfredi. Today, collectors often frame the labels as works of art.

A wine of extraordinary scarcity, vision, and history.
And in the U.S., only three bottles of this 2022 Jeroboam exist.

Available from our cellar.

Every cuisine is shaped by movement.

Long before borders defined food, ingredients, techniques and traditions crossed the Mediterranean freely. Couscous is one of those stories.

Arriving in Sicily centuries ago and eventually becoming part of the island’s culinary language.

Our summer vegetable couscous is a celebration of that legacy: seasonal vegetables, olive oil and the belief that the best ingredients need the least intervention.

Enjoy!

Meet the newest member of the team.

She clocks in every weekend, never misses a BRUNCH shift, and insists on being paid in breadcrumbs.

Luckily, her output is excellent. 🍳

Grazie Carletto.

I still get emotional every time I meet a farmer.

I still get chills when I taste a tomato grown with care, with history, with truth behind it.

You taught all of us to look at food differently: not just as something to eat, but as culture, memory, identity, and responsibility.

What you gave to the world through Slow Food is extraordinary. You gave value back to the hands, the land, the traditions, and the people behind every ingredient.

Now it’s on us to carry that message forward.
To protect it. To honor it. To keep telling that story: through what we cook, what we serve, and what we choose every day.

With gratitude, admiration, and so much emotion: thank you. ❤️

🇺🇸Today, our words are broken by tears of genuine sorrow. We were fortunate enough to take our first steps in the food system under the immense guidance of Carlo Petrini. Every conversation with him felt like “drinking from the source.” He shaped and supported our work as small producers, and for him, food was never just about food — it was about local economies, people, future generations, biodiversity, communities, traditions, pollution, human relationships, the fight against waste, and the fight against wars.

We are losing an extraordinary human being. What remains for us is the moral duty to continue his battles and to turn his teachings into concrete actions every single day. It will not be easy without him, but we will do our very best.

P.S. This photo was taken in 2013 in the garden of our very first opening here in Brooklyn. He was a truly great person, because he supported us in Italy and never failed to do the same once we arrived in NYC.

We opened our Have&Meyer in 2015. Ten years (and a little more) later, we’ve witnessed first dates become engagements 💍, weddings , anniversaries, and even new babies.

So many meaningful moments celebrated inside our restaurant, and that truly makes our hearts full.

So… is a restaurant just a restaurant❓

Our answer is NO.

It’s a place where the best parts of life happen.

Thank you for making us part of your story.

It’s not everyday that you see a father and sons work together on producing some of the most amazing natural wine in Italy.

Last night we welcomed not only Giusto Occhipinti of COS Azienda Agricola, but also the next generation of the family, Giovanni and Paolo: a beautiful reminder that great natural wine is something passed down through stories, hands, and harvests.

Our guests loved hearing about Sicily, about Vittoria: a territory geographically and spiritually closer to Africa than to Northern Italy, and about the 47 harvests dedicated to producing wines of incredible purity, elegance, clarity, and low alcohol expression.

From Europe’s largest amphora cellar to the soul behind every bottle, it was a night full of warmth, conversation, and wines that truly moved people.

Grazie famiglia COS 🍷
