Today is Juneteenth.

A day to celebrate freedom, resilience, and the generations of Black Americans who continued fighting for justice long after slavery officially ended.

Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom delayed is freedom denied, and that progress has never happened because people in power simply decided to do the right thing. Progress has always been driven by ordinary people who refused to accept injustice as inevitable.

As we celebrate today, let’s also remember that honoring history means learning it, telling it honestly, and continuing the work of building a country where freedom, opportunity, and dignity belong to everyone.

Happy Juneteenth to everyone celebrating. May we never stop striving toward a more just and equitable future. 🖤🤎

Starting Next Week ☀️

Hey Who Dat family! We’ve got a little update to share with y’all.

Summer slowness has hit us hard these past few weeks, and out of an abundance of caution and to make sure we’re still here for you all season long we’ll be closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting next week.

We’re not going anywhere. Just making a smart move to keep the lights on and the coffee brewing. 💛

New Summer Hours:
📅 Open Thursday – Monday, 7AM – 2PM
🚫 Closed Tuesday & Wednesday

So on the five days we ARE open, come show us some love. Every latte, every plate, every visit keeps us going. You’ve carried us through tough summers before, and we know you’ve got us again. 🌈☕

She finds her way to the cafe at least twice a week and let’s just say she likes to stay a while. We are not sure where she lives but she surely like to travel.

You know that one dog who acts like they own the block? Yeah. That’s a Marigny dog. 😂🌈

Today’s Dog of the Day is living their BEST life and honestly, same. 🙌

MEET BOUDREAUX — Da King of Da Block

Handsome. Confident. Utterly convinced he runs this neighborhood — and honestly? He’s not wrong.

Boudreaux is an avid sniffer, a natural charmer, and a dog who knows exactly what he’s worth. He walks like royalty because, as far as he’s concerned, that’s exactly what he is.

And the tricks? Most pups wish they had his résumé. Boudreaux dances, sits on command, and plays dead with the kind of dramatic commitment that would make seasoned actors take notes.

King of da block, indeed. 👑🐾
