We were all set up at the Keystone Classic Barbeque State Championship in Harrisburg for the weekend, but after we headed home for the night, a sudden burst of wind came through and destroyed our tent.

A huge thank you to our neighbors ( Greg Boggs ) who jumped into action to help minimize the damage while we were away. We really appreciate you looking out for us and our setup. We’re grateful for the people we get to share these BBQ weekends with!

We also want to wish all of our friends at the American Royal the best of luck this weekend!

Thank you to our sponsors for making this competition season possible:

🚨Change of plans for today! 🚨

With inclement weather expected this evening, we’re moving things up and serving lunch at the New Freedom Green.

We’ll start serving around 10:30–11:00 AM and stay until 1:00 PM or until the rain begins—whichever comes first. Stop by and grab some BBQ before the weather rolls in!

WOW! New Freedom, you did not let us down! Sold out of everything but the pulled pork! You even ran our sauces dry!

🔥Missed our brisket and award winning turkey?? 🔥
No problem! Come get your fix next weekend at Southern York County Recreation Music in the Park. We start serving at 5:30 so come early!

Come on down to New Freedom Heritage New Freedom Fest today from 10-4 down by the old train station!

09/17/2026

Find us at New Freedom Fest this Saturday from 10 AM–4 PM at the corner of Penn & Front Street.

Come enjoy a day of music, vendors, games, family activities, and more. Stop by our stand if you are looking for some delicious BBQ! We will have brisket, turkey, or pulled pork served as a sandwich or loaded into one of our mac & cheese bowls.

Can’t make it this weekend? We’ll be right here in New Freedom again next weekend for the final Music in the Park of the year, where we’ll be debuting a new menu item that has already picked up a couple of awards on the competition circuit this season.

GigaBite beta test kitchen update:

Pork & Mac egg rolls!

Our latest experiment puts two BBQ favorites into one crunchy bite.

What are your thoughts, bbq sauce inside to pack on more flavor or leave it as a condiment for dipping?

These are still in the testing stage, but we need to know… should they earn a spot on the GigaBite BBQ future specials menu? 🤔

What a weekend! 🔥

First the parade on Saturday and then Sunday we served up some Creekstone Farms Prime brisket and Plainville Farms turkey—the same turkey that helped us earn a win at Smoke on the Rail! 🏆

Come see us next:

📍 Saturday, September 19 — New Freedom Fest
📍 Saturday, September 26 — Music in the Park

Then we’re back on the competition trail for the last 2 comps of the year for us:

🏆 October 3 — Keystone Classic | Harrisburg, PA
🏆 October 10 — MD BBQ Bash | Bel Air, MD

We’ll see you there—come hungry! 🍖
