Freshwater Food & Wine Festival may be in the rearview, but we brought a little of the weekend back to Story Hill.

This week’s French Onion Burger is stacked with an 8 oz. beef patty, French onion spread, American cheese, arugula, sliced pickles and fried onions, all on a Milwaukee pretzel bun. A little French onion soup energy, burger-night style.

And because we’re not done celebrating just yet, Blue’s Bakery Dive Bar Cake is making an encore, too. Beer- and malt-laced yellow cake, Bavarian cream, brandy chocolate ganache and chocolate malt peanut crumble—the same decadent dessert we served at the festival.

Some weeks just call for a burger.

Especially when the sky is grey, the rain won’t quit and there’s a Mushroom Pretzel Swiss Burger waiting for you.

We’ll be closed Monday, as per our usual Monday schedule, and Tuesday, September 8, while our crew takes a well-earned day to gather, celebrate and probably make some questionable decisions at our annual staff party.

Well, that was an interesting night.

We made it through the storm with a few power outages and thankfully nothing major on our end.

If you’re several branches deep into today’s cleanup, consider this your reward for all of your hard work.

Burger Night, day 2. Mushroom Pretzel Swiss
It brings an 8 oz beef patty together with roasted mushrooms, Roth Cheese Grand Cru Gruyère, truffle mayo, baby arugula, and pickles on a toasted pretzel bun.

And because one special just isn’t enough, we’ve got Odekirk Venison Chochoyotes: chile-braised Odekirk Red Deer from Campbellsport, WI, with masa dumplings, fire-roasted sweet corn, chile braising broth, baby kale, Cotija and cilantro.
