We are SO proud to partner with an organization that does so much good for communities across the country. Huge thank you to Operation BBQ Relief for allowing Knucklehead BBQ to be a part of this event and help serve 300 meals to disaster relief professionals and attendees in Wilmington.

Congratulations to our 2026 KHDBBQ Teacher of the Year: Blair Turner from Hillsborough Elementary!

Check out this heartfelt nomination that was submitted on her behalf:
"We started at HES as a first grader with lots of anxiety and struggles. We didn’t know Mrs. Turner or any kids in the class. But there was something in that classroom that bonded a little boy and his teacher. From day one, our son has loved Mrs .Turner. Her smile. Her personality. Her dedication to teaching and to making a difference in not only our kid’s life, but the other kids as well. She treats them all like they are her own children. Each time there was a road block, Mrs. Turner was there to come up with a way to have our son be successful. She was always willing to chat about his progress and ways to help long after the school bell had rung. She encouraged me as a parent when I felt we were not making progress. She recognized his needs and loved him and cared about him more than most teachers would. She extended him the grace he needed, but didn’t always deserve. She is part of our family and in our opinion is our teacher of the year. We love you Mrs. Turner. We cannot thank you enough for being our teacher this year!"

We were so moved by all the emotional nominations we received that we will be reaching out to everyone who submitted nominations via our form and giving little something to all the teachers recognized!
