This might be our last weekend open for the year… and before we close out another season, we just want to say THANK YOU!!!
As we look back on this summer, our hearts are incredibly full. This season was a year of growth, change, challenges, new opportunities, and so many memories that we will carry with us.
First and foremost, we thank God. 🙏🏼 None of this would be possible without Him. We are so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to build something we love, serve our community, provide jobs, and watch Michigan Base Camp grow in ways we could have only hoped for. We truly believe God has a plan for this business and for our family, and we are so grateful for every door He has opened along the way.
And to YOU, our customers, thank you. Thank you for showing up, supporting us, trying something new, giving us feedback, cheering us on, and continuing to come back. You are the reason we get to do what we do. This summer wouldn’t have been the same without every single person who stopped in, grabbed a coffee, had breakfast, stood in lines, ordered from a food truck, bought some merch, or simply encouraged us along the way. ❤️🥹
We also want to give a huge thank you to the township for allowing us the opportunity to grow and expand in more ways than one this summer. We are incredibly grateful for the support and the opportunity to continue building something special here in our community.
And then there is our amazing team. We grew not only as a business, but also in the number of people who became part of our Base Camp family. To every employee who stuck with us through the entire summer, worked the long days, learned new things, dealt with the chaos, and rolled with every twist and turn, thank you. 🙌🏼 We truly could not have done this without you. You each played a part in making this season what it was, and we are so grateful for you.
We started this journey with a simple goal: to make good food and create a place people wanted to come back to and we feel like we accomplished that. Of course, there were plenty of lessons learned and feedback along the way, but that’s how we grow.
A very special thank you goes to Chef Andres Maldonado Fuertes and Andrea Maldonado. ❤️ We will forever be grateful that they took such a huge leap of faith and uprooted their lives to come here and help make Michigan Base Camp everything we dreamed it could be. Their talent, hard work, dedication, and willingness to jump in and help us grow has meant more to us than they probably realize. We are so glad they have become apart of our family. ❤️🥹🙏🏼
And finally, to our families…thank you for supporting us through the crazy days, the long hours, the late nights, the stress, and everything that comes with running a seasonal business. Your love, patience, encouragement, and willingness to help behind the scenes never goes unnoticed. We couldn’t do this without you either. ❤️
As we head into what may be our final weekend of the season, we are choosing to focus on how blessed and grateful we are rather than simply saying goodbye.
We are forever grateful.
This season may be coming to an end, but this is only the beginning. We have BIG plans, BIG dreams, and so many BIG ideas for what comes next. We absolutely cannot wait to show you what’s next….
