What an absolutely beautiful Autumn weekend it was! Feels so good being cool enough to wear a sweatshirt and not so cold ya don’t feel like ice cream… 😆 Such was Victoria’s experience as well, taking full advantage of the fine weather and enjoying a Cookies -n- Cream ice cream cone while doin’ it too! Thanks so much for stopping by and posing for a picture Victoria, we appreciate you greatly!

Gonna start warming back up by a few degrees over the next couple days. Bright sunny skies today with a high at 78, cooling off down to around 60 overnight. By the time we reach Live Music Friday that sun will have warmed us back up to 85 and Andrew Jones will take our stage once again!

We’ve got us an absolutely beautiful week in store for us here in mid October with Halloween right around the corner too… 🎃 Autumn in Texas is such a wonderful season, though it is gettin’ dark earlier and earlier. We got a little while before hot chocolate season arrives for the Home for the Holidays Festival so it’s still ice cream season for us and folks like Victoria… 😉 Enjoy this beautiful weather and we’ll hope to see YOU for some sweet boozy treats before winter sets in and those temps drop to freezin’!

Your Sunday sundae today is a spooky special featuring our white chocolate based pistachio cream liqueur infused “White Chocostashio” ice cream with sweet and salty caramel sauce, topped with our house bourbon vanilla whipped cream and a bunch of M&M’s with candy corn and a cherry as always for good luck…🍒

Sunday scripture: Acts 14:15 KJB… “And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:”

Paul assures the people they are only men like themselves, not gods, and begins back in Genesis 1 to preach the Living God, Jesus Christ and His grace towards one and all. Yes, it was Jesus Himself who created everything!

Colossians 1:16-17 KJB… “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

The apostles give warning that for a long time has God been very patient with Gentiles…

Acts 14:16 KJB… “Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.”

…seeing us walk in ways not pleasing to Him.

Acts 14:17 KJB… “Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

Countless witnesses both of men and events throughout time have borne out the truth of Gods goodness towards us.

Acts 14:18 KJB… “And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.”

As the people begin to change their minds towards the apostle’s message the Jews among them stir up big trouble.

Acts 14:19 KJB… “And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.”

Paul winds up stoned (I believe) literally to death; read 2 Cor 12:1-7 and see if you agree. Our apostle isn’t gonna let that stop him however.

Autumn surly blew in with a vengeance yesterday and the spooky season is soon to follow. Here’s a seasonal speciality menu of witch-crafty cocktails that’s sure to tantalize your terrified tastebuds! Zoom on in there and take a sneak peek; we got the “Purple People Eater” I showed ya the other day, we got a “Gravedigger” and a “Halloween Margarita” too; and that’s not to mention a coven of creepy shots to help keep you in the sinister seasonal spirit… 😉

It’s 45 degrees out there this morning and that’s as cold as it’s gonna be for a while now. The sun is up and the day will warm to about 68 by late afternoon. Clear and cool again tonight, lows down around 47. A sweatshirt is gonna feel real good! A beautiful Autumn day with more of the same but slightly warmer temps on Sunday. That warming trend will carry us into next week and we’ll be back in the 80’s no later than Tuesday.

Take advantage of this lovely crisp Autumn air and head on over to your hometown downtown square! The weekend’s in full swing and all us restaurants are lookin’ forward to takin’ real good care of YOU! Another week is comin’ to its end and the fun starts tonight here at Cocktail Creamery! This Live Music Friday we feature the soulful sounds of singer/songwriter Joel Scarbrough Music on the guitar, and maybe even the banjo if we’re lucky… 😉 Joel has been making music with us since the very beginning and if you’d like to hear him play, come on in, grab a table and don’t be late, the first set starts at 8:00… 🤠

It’s dang right chilly out this morning, windy too and it ain’t gonna get much warmer as the day progresses. The sun will begin to show itself but the thermometer is gonna hang right around 69 degrees all day, at least till the sun goes down… and then it’ll cool way down into the mid 40’s. Sweater weather has officially arrived friends! Saturday and Sunday look like picture perfect Autumn days with lots of sun and brisk temps too!

I got a feelin’ the square’s gonna be jumpin’ tonight for these first of Fall weather vibes! Pull your favorite sweater or sweatshirt out of the closet where ya put it last year and head on downtown for some Friday night fun! If that fun includes some booze infused ice cream and an after dinner drink while listening to some excellent acoustic music, we’ll see you there on the square real soon… 😁

Gotcha a tasty Tish creation made special for all you spooks and specters during this creepy Halloween season; behold the “Purple People Eater”, hit it Sheb Wooley… https://youtu.be/5jV-E09efRE?si=Ug-OhxQ3JwrQoJ6X Anything for a song, right… 😆 This crafty cocktail is made by shakin’ up Chambord, Kettle One vodka, blue curaçao, grenadine and cranberry juice, pouring in a glass over ice and topping with a splash of Sprite. Available this Friday through October 31’st… 🎃

Gonna be just a bit cooler today but the big chill shows up after the sun goes down. Mostly sunny with a high of 87 dropping down into the upper 60’s late tonight. A 50% chance those showers in Oklahoma reach us down here in DFW as we sleep. A mix of clouds and sun on Live Music Friday with Joel Scarbrough Music bringin’ the tunes! Our high temps will be down in the 60’s for the whole weekend with overnight lows only in the 40’s! Is this a preview to our upcoming winter season???

Another warm day here in DFW but there’s a whole lot of rain up to our north in Oklahoma. A 40% chance of some afternoon showers will reach us here but it’ll clear up by tonight if it does. Sunny and warm again tomorrow with a cold front moving in overnight; our high for Live Music Friday with Joel Scarbrough Music only 70 degrees!

Another crafty cocktail off our Autumn menu, this right here is a Maple Wh***ey Sour and it sure is tasty! Made with K**b Creek maple bourbon, lemon juice and maple syrup, it’s a delicious twist on an all time classic concoction! Come on in and try one today and get you a scoop of Vermont Maple Sugar Daddy while you’re at it… 😉

Got a cloudy kinda start to our day today but that sun oughta be peekin’ through from time to time. Very warm out there with highs up in the low 90’s cooling off to round about 77 overnight tonight. Got a 10% chance of a shower tomorrow as things starts to cool off just a bit. By Live Music Friday our high temp will be a glorious 72 degrees and good buddy Joel Scarbrough Music is coming back to play!

What are y’all doin’ on this here Taco Tuesday? I’m thinking a lunch trip to Fuzzy's Taco Shop might be in order cause they got a grilled shrimp taco that just can’t be beat! Hello Autumn my old friend, I’ve come to drink with you again… 😉 Should have posted this a while ago but better late than never! Lots of tasty tipples ready to serve up but I personally really dig that Autumn Cherry cocktail and will be lookin’ forward to Friday for just that reason! Zoom on in there and see if any sound extra special to you… 😊

This nice warm weather pattern continues but we got some changes coming later this week. High of 90 today with a mix of clouds and sun. 76 degrees overnight tonight and more of the same tomorrow. Cool air begins to flow in Thursday night and Fridays highs will be a very comfortable 74 for live acoustic tunes with Joel Scarbrough Music!

All in all it looks like another wonderful week for us here in DFW. A slight chance of a passing shower late Wednesday into early Thursday but nothing we gotta worry about. If ya haven’t tried any of the crafty cocktails off our Autumn menu, there’s no better time than right now while it’s still Autumn; Winter will be here soon enough… 😆

Your Sunday sundae today features the flavors of Fall! A big scoop of our Captain Morgan spiced rum infused “Smashed Punkin’” on top of a fresh warm brownie with hot caramel fudge, Heathbar crumbles, bourbon vanilla whipped cream and a cherry as always for good luck… 🍒

Sunday scripture: Acts 14:8 KJB… “And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:”

The apostle Paul had Holy Spirit power to heal just like Peter (Acts 3:1-8).

Acts 14:9-10 KJB… “The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.”

All it took for that man to go from crippled to walking was faith. God is still providing signs so Paul would be believed. Others see something very different.

Acts 14:11 KJB… “And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.”

The masses see their (lower case “g”) gods (plural, not the one true God) in Paul and Barnabas. People have been worshipping false gods since Adam and Eve decided it would be a good idea to be like them! Said the serpent…

Genesis 3:5 KJB… “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and YE SHALL BE AS gODS, knowing good and evil.”

The people continue.

Acts 14:12 KJB… “And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.”

The gods are well known among the people, they are not imaginary!

Acts 14:13 KJB… “Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.”

Paul and Barnabas will have none of this however.

Acts 14:14 KJB… “Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,”

The Creator God will be preached! Paul is about to give a lesson in who that Creator actually is. It is none other than Jesus Christ Himself. As we will see, doing so will prove to be very dangerous for our apostle.

Here’s a little somethin’ to look forward to as the upcoming Halloween season approaches, a tasty shooter called the “Zombie Brain Shot”. Sharyn and Tish got a bit freaky coming up with this one… 😆 Made with watermelon schnapps and Irish cream, the trick is to float the cream on top of the schnapps allowing just a little to mingle giving a creepy brain-like appearance to the drink. The full spooky menu out next week!

Got us a lovely Saturday with which to play, bright sunny skies and a high up near 90. Cools off nicely after the sun goes down with low temps down around 68, a new moon not lighting up the night sky… 🌑 Sunday looks beautiful too with very similar conditions.

The square was hoppin’ last night and it’s gonna be jumpin’ once again today! The weekend’s in full swing by now and hopefully your fun has only just begun! Tonight we welcome back a dude who knows all the good old country tunes, Russ Lowry Music! What a beautiful week it’s been, the weekend looks equally amazing. The skies are blue, the sun is out and the temps are in the upper 80’s. The nights are cool, the moon a waning crescent and the mood is high straight through into next week!

Downtown’s gonna be jumpin’ all weekend long, I just know it! Jump on in that old jalopy and point her towards the square and join in the fun! Start your weekend right with a fine meal at your favorite restaurant then come see us for dessert, nightcaps and the old country songs we all know and love, maybe even some Bill Withers too!
