Specials are ready!!!

There is a NEW menu, so check that out. I'll go over it in some detail in a few days, but the selection remains close to the same because everybody loves what's already there! But there are some changes...

But this week's specials are:

ntree: MEATLOAF AGAIN?? Folks of a certain age will remember that reference from a funny tv commercial, and then that it was co-opted by fans of The Rocky Horror Picture Show when Eddie showed up for dinner. But this is classic meatloaf, only better, so we're calling it MEATCAKE! Baked with a slathering of ketchup on top, and served with housemade mashed potatoes with gravy (you can request no gravy).

Side: Tres Flautas! These are not only flautier than regular flautas, they're the flautiest. They are filled with cheese and chicken, fried, then oven baked with marinara and cheese topping.

Dessert: Fruit Pie Time! We combined Cherry and Apple filling for a sweet and tart fruit crumble in a 6" shell, and it's served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, so it's great for sharing. We're calling it the Fruit 'n tootin' Apple-cherry pie.

These will last at least a week, maybe two!

Sorry about the late announcement, but you can count on Trivia happening unless I announce otherwise! Today I got stuck fixing a sink!

But here we are. Trivia tonight is SO THEY SAY. Hopefully you've been paying attention to what people have been saying. That's all.

CROSSROADS TURN 8 TOMORROW!

To Celebrate, we are debuting our new menus (don't worry, most of your favorites are still here) and running a sale on board game purchases for the weekend!

Sale?!?! That's right. This Saturday and Sunday, every board game purchaser will have the opportunity to roll a d20 and get that % off! Pretty great right? Well, what if I told you that we'll be adding 8 to the value rolled! Up to 28% on board games can be yours!

Lastly, thank you all so much! I know Ryan and I have only owned Crossroads for 5 months, but we see all of the support and love this community has given it! It truly is a special place! PAW PATROL retakes the trophy, with score of 90 out of 100! But it was close!

Tonight's trivia included a word search, and a few I-Spy challenges, so it was pretty different. Actually, most of our trivia nights are pretty different. What can I say? I hate "ordinary."

Specials This Week:

Are so special, they were each specials from other weeks, back, as it were, by popular demand, and what's really special is that they'll only be the specials up to this weekend.

That's special because, for the first time in a while, we are updating the menu!! And these specials are so special, they will melt imperceptibly into THE NEW MENU.

There will be a few other items, and although we have to drop a thing or two, we think the replacements will be welcome.

So, our new/old specials, through Saturday:

Red Wedding Velvet Cake

Again, they'll be the specials up to Saturday, then we'll release the whole new menu!

Second Sunday is coming up! That means anyone with a game they're developing, and just as importantly anyone who wants to play games that are in development, and want to lend a critical (constructive) ear, should come out for Break My Game!

It goes from 3-6, and if you actually have a game to show off and want input on it, then sign up on Event-Brite under Break My Game. You could just walk in if you want, but it's better to be announced.

Hi again - I couldn't just say "Happy Labor Day" without it meaning something, hence my last post.

On to regular programming!

Tonight is Mental Monday TRIVIA NIGHT!

We have a large reservation coming just for trivia, so if you plan on coming in please call ahead, as it will be crowded! Also come in a little earlier so all the food orders don't go in at once. That's what makes a kitchen slow down!

Tonight's theme is Gym-Jim! Seems obvious, right? Hee hee.

Also, last week's special never got announced because it didn't quite materialize how we had planned, but we're back on track this week, with most of what was supposed to be on last week: Chicken Pot Pie that isn't pie because instead of crust it's biscuits and cheese and so it's our CHICKEN NOT PIE.

We continue to feature the double quesadilla: MI QUESO TU QUESO! Made with special cheese and salsa, and you can (and should) add a protein like beef, chicken, or shrimp!

And the dessert is still the ROLEY-CANNOLI, two cannoli (I feel like cannoli is plural for cannoli, but tell me if you know better), a crispy pastry tube with a special cheese filler and drizzled in chocolate and a dollop of whipped cream.

Happy Labor Day! Remember, or at least know now, many people died because they fought against monied interests who made extensive profits off their hard work. Not slavery, but certainly not "freedom" either.
