These are available for pickup in south Lubbock (around 82nd and slide) from 7a-12p on Saturday and 9a-2p on Sunday!!

Have I ever told you our Love Story?
It’s a good one. It all began in 2003. I was a young chef in Houston when I got a call from my good friend . He offered me a Sous Chef position in San Antonio. I didn’t have a lot going on at the time so I took him up on that offer! Thanks Jeff😘
One month later, I interviewed a culinary student named Jason to be our apprentice (cheap labor). Jason did well on his stage, but smarted off to me at the end of my critique… I informed Chef Jeff I wasn’t a fan, but he assured me Jason was a good fit because he was cheap and needed the internship.
We went forward with this green student and got started in the kitchen. I made sure to give him the worst, most tedious jobs possible in hopes he’d give up, but he kept showing up.
After a year of this, Jason and I went on our first date 😊.
We got engaged just two weeks later—TWO WEEKS LATER!
We married six months after that, and luckily I immediately had a built-in family! Jason already had a 7-year-old son, and I was thrilled to be a mom. Two months later I found out we were having our own bundle! Our first daughter was born in September 2005, and we celebrated our one-year anniversary four days later!
If you can’t tell, when I know what I want I go for it! 😊
I’d always planned to open a restaurant before turning 30, and at 28 I needed to get the ball rolling. My parents offered to be full-time babysitters and landlords—an opportunity we couldn't pass up!
I told Jason we were moving to my hometown, Lubbock! So we loaded up the U-Haul and drove home!!
On November 1, 2006 we opened Home Cafe. My dream was coming true! I was 29 with an amazing husband, a son, a daughter, and my first restaurant!
What more could I wish for?
Well, I asked for another child! That was answered 6 years later when our third baby, another girl, was born in May 2012.
So, what do normal crazy chefs do next? We opened our next venture, Crafthouse Gastropub in August 2012!
Our life has been just about perfect. We have three amazing, talented kids, a town that supports us, and most importantly, each other.
Happy anniversary Jason. I love you so much and I’m excited to spend the rest of our days together!
