A sweet and smooth blend of strawberry and shortbread syrups, 2 oz of espresso, oat milk and a decadent swirl of whip cream, fresh strawberry drizzle and shortbread cookie sprinkles.

MEET YOUR BARISTA 🏋🏼‍♀️ CALISTA 🏕️

Calista has worked at steamworks since 2023 while being a physical therapy student. After 6 years, she just graduated from D’Youville University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Outside of the cafe, you can find her exploring new coffee shops in every city, taking her dog Mylo for walks at the nature trail with her family, relaxing with her friends, planning weekend adventures with her boyfriend, and going to the gym where she enjoys living her healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys listening to music with artists including Harry Styles, The Lumineers, Hozier, and many others.

In the near future, Calista plans to pursue travel physical therapy where she can further build her passions and explore new cities.

Calista’s favorite part about working at the cafe is meeting her community, bonding with the regulars, and making drink recommendations to new customers.

We’re really proud to tell you that every lemon that goes into our lemonade is hand-squeezed!

Well... technically, one wonderful human named Felicia does all the squeezing. 🍋💪🏼

Felicia works her magic at our off-site lab 🧪, a place that’s almost as magical as our café itself. It’s where we roast our coffee beans, prepare wholesale and online orders, batch our cold brew, get ready for farmers markets, and bake some of your favorite treats, including Lockport’s most tasty coffee cake.

It’s also where we make our Strawberry Puree, Vanilla Bean and Sherlock syrups completely from scratch.

There’s a whole lot of work, care, and creativity happening behind the scenes, and we’re grateful for our amazing team in and outside of the cafe! ❤️

Across the United States, coffee shops are experiencing noticeable age gaps among their employees, and here at Steamworks, we are no exception.

When our younger, tech-savvy baristas work alongside more experienced staff, everyone learns from one another. At 9:00 a.m., Eliana might be teaching Kacy how to make a TikTok, and by 2:00 p.m., Kacy is asking Eliana if she owns a cassette player because she really wants to make her a mixtape.

This diverse team brings balance to the workplace (and the daily playlist), boosts productivity, and helps us better understand and serve our diverse customer base.

At the end of the day we’re all working toward the same goal. We want to make great drinks and take care of our customers.✌️
