A dreamy destination for getaways, intimate celebrations and corporate & wellness retreats. The Stone House is a historic, seaside inn located in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Little Compton is truly a hidden gem nested in the beautiful southeastern RI. It is a very quaint, rural farming community with many vineyards and orchards. The Stone House was once home to David Sisson and his son Henry Sission, a civil war hero. In the 20's and 30's it was changed to a grand inn, and an old tap room remains that was once a speakeasy. The Stone House has been registered in the National Registry of Historic Places. Many green technologies have been incorporated into the Stone House. The heating and cooling systems rely on geothermal technology. 1854 Taproom, which is located in the old tap room, serves modern comfort food, local beer and wine, and signature cocktails.
