This is what happens when your other says he doesn't want to spend any more money on projects for a while...you gather up your trash and spray paint it.

I need more trash.

Emry's set up with some brownies today! Big improvement from his last sale of hot bottles of water!
He's sitting on the corner of Oak & Main in Leslie, Arkansas or perhaps in front of the pottery shop!
There's also a Hometown Market going on as well on Oak Street.

Got these bikes hung up on the front of the old pottery shop for kids to borrow in Leslie, Arkansas. They're not super fancy but there's a balance bike some with training wheels and one without so far.
I'll eventually add a little pump and some wrenches incase they need a tweak. 🤘 🚓

Listen, I'd never live in this but one thing I really picked up on in New Hampshire are the colors. Those buildings from the 1700's are all meticulously painted in hues that could make the eyes bleed and I kinda fell in love with them. I'm carrying the North Country in my mind when I put this deli together and going to throw some Ozarks in the mix, as well.

Color chips in the comments, if you're interested.

If you heard me cussing well... that was a whole gallon of paint and it was nearly 6pm and I had sweated off parts I didn't know I had; me merely cussing was the best case scenario.

I've been following this woman & her farm for years, she's really the only page I read consistently. To hear that she was reported over a piece of cheese is beyond me and as I was picking some breakfast in the garden this morning I realized I fear the s**t stirrer's of this world; not because of the confrontation but I am afraid of the GOVERNMENT the little twits will call down on my head.
Some people will say " If you are not doing anything wrong then you shouldn't have to worry about anything!"

Ha if that were true, along with unicorns šŸ¦„

Be careful out there and be weary of what you post on this nasty internet "letters to the editor" feed.

And just for a little thought, because I think of this quote when I'm especially not fond of government. šŸ‘‡

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

—Martin Niemƶller

I shared this photo the other day in a series, with the caption speaking about missing the early years on the internet and how we could all benefit from taking a step back.

It’s a wheel of cheese I made July 5th 2019 while employed at Cate Hill Orchard & Sheep Dairy.
It says so right on the package label, with its plant #

Not even 2 days after sharing it, I was greeted by the state of Vermont Ag agents in my driveway.
Reported.
Falsely reported.
Falsely reported for selling unlicensed raw dairy.
For sharing a 7 year old image….

I have made it very clear on this page that my dairy animals are for personal use, only. I state that on my cheesemaking shares and answer it continually in the comment section.
I do not sell dairy.
I am not licensed or inspected by the state of Vermont.
And I don’t plan to be.

I informed the very kind gentlemen that I’ve milked for many licensed farms, I tag and I promote them. I’ve made cheese with and for half a dozen licensed cheesemakers, I tag and I promote them. I connect the public far and wide to their local food producers, I tag and I promote them. I love just about all things Vermont Ag, I tag and I promote them.
That doesn’t mean I sell what I produce.
If you have questions, ask. And ask ME!
Don’t be a snake in the grass; looking for an ā€œI gotchaā€ moment.

Over the last 11 years I’ve given everything to this page. My knowledge, my family, my opinions, my privacy, my experience, my trials, my failures and my highest most proud moments.
To be continually met with pushback, negativity and now folks peeking in on my life making uneducated false reports.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not saddened, pi**ed off, deflated, ashamed and thankful of this surprise visit.
To think that all I’ve ever tried to do is connect people to the wonders of Vermont farming or agriculture in general and this is where it meets me….

My time of farming daily for the internet has come to an end.
Actions like these, by a follower nonetheless, likely a local my gut tells me, just hastily solidifies my decision.
It’s a shame that Vermont farm regulations are so hostile that producers will blindly and eagerly turn on one another.
I truly hope my gut feeling to be wrong.

If sharing my life has inspired you in any way, I’m passing the educational torch to youšŸ’›
