📜 A Lesson from the Past, A Vision for the Future 🌟

Sometimes, the most timeless wisdom comes from the simplest places. This week, we have had the opportunity to sort through decades of items that have been collected and stored at the grill. Among my father Joe’s treasures, we recently found an old poem titled A Little More. It speaks of a man who always did more than expected—not for recognition, but because it was the right thing to do. It’s a reminder that kindness, generosity, and a little extra effort can make a world of difference.

In 1945, my grandparents built Lewis Grocery here in Leslie with that same spirit—serving their neighbors with heart and going above and beyond for every customer. Years later, I came back home to help Dad save that legacy, and that lesson has guided everything we do, from the grill to our newest venture.

Today, we’re proud to take a little piece of that small-town goodness nationwide. 🕊️ A Message of Hope

After Ryan’s temporarily closed in early August, we were overwhelmed with uncertainty and heartache. Then, something remarkable happened. Someone left a handwritten note on our front porch with the words of Matthew 5:13:

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?"

We don’t know who left it, but those words came to us when we needed them most. They reminded us that our work at Ryan’s wasn’t just about food—it was about bringing flavor and meaning to the lives of those we served. Even when we felt lost, this verse reminded us that we still had a purpose, and our "salt" was far from gone. 🧂
