The secret’s out!

06.22.26 launches everything we’ve been building toward.
Part of our mission has always been bigger than coffee. We wanted to create a true third space. A community space. Somewhere that isn’t home and isn’t work, but feels like a space where you belong rooted in mental health awareness and inclusivity for everyone.

A place you can walk into on your best day and your hardest day, and feel seen, heard, welcomed, and loved because you belong here.

And being a real community space means actually opening up for the community. So as of this Monday, June 22nd, we’ll officially be open 7 days a week, morning to night!

Serving our specialty coffee and housemade syrups all day. With the addition of a hand-selected lineup of craft beer, wine, and THC beverages into the evening. And don’t worry! Not only can you still get a coffee or latte anytime we also serve a decaf espresso, so a late night latte is always on the table!

Day to night. Good days and bad days. Every single day.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth!

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers finally reached Galveston, Texas and delivered the news that should have come years earlier: the people held there were free. It had been more than two years since the Emancipation Proclamation. Two and a half years of freedom on paper while real people stayed in bo***ge, waiting on word that was kept from them on purpose.

So Juneteenth is freedom delayed. But more than that, it is freedom claimed. It is the joy of people who held onto hope through the longest wait imaginable, then built family, music, faith, and community in spite of everything made to break them. That is resilience. That is power. That is worth celebrating loudly!

This is what we do here. When one of ours needs us, we show up.

Our friend Lisa Lisson is walking 60 miles in three days this August for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day in Boston. She’s doing it for her mom, Anita, who lived with metastatic breast cancer for years before she passed in 2024. That kind of love doesn’t sit still, so neither will we!

On Thursday, July 2 at 7 PM, meet us at Unhinged Coffee & Co and let’s move with her. Walk it, run it, push a stroller, or just come cheer and donate. All paces welcome. Lisa’s goal is $2,300 and every mile matters, so bring your shoes, bring your people, and bring a few dollars for the cause!

Building community is kind of our whole thing, so this one hits close to home.

We’re honored to host the very first Pride in Practice, created by Calm and Focused Therapy and Phoenix Therapeutics, PLLC. It’s a space for LGBTQIA+ and allied clinicians to meet, network, and feel a little less alone in the work they do.

Feel free to join us in supporting q***r therapists and q***r owned businesses across the Triangle this Pride Month. Join us Sunday, June 28 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM right here at Unhinged.

Hinge’s Storytime is a free, Bi-weekly event on Monday morning for kids and families in Hinge’s Living Room in the back of the shop.

This isn’t your “sit still and be quiet” kind of storytime. It’s a come-as-you-are, wiggle-if-you-want, ask-all-the-questions kind of space for our tiny humans.

And the best part?
This is being led by Meg Farrell Buckingham who generously volunteered her time, her heart, and her experience to make this happen for our community. (Knightdale, we lucked out.)

🏃☕️ RUN FIRST. OVERTHINK LATER.

The Unhinged Run Club is for people who love running, tolerate running, or just really like the reward coffee at the end.

We meet at the shop, collectively question our life choices for a few miles, then return for caffeine, conversation, and the kind of post-run delusion that makes you say, “Honestly, I could do a marathon.”

All paces. All bodies. No pressure. Just good people, moving their legs and earning a little treat.
