🌊 SUMMER'S ALMOST OVER... BUT BREAKWALL ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE. ⚓

Before we know it, the days will get shorter, the lake will get colder, and those Wisconsin winter blues will start creeping in.

And apparently, staying connected matters more than we realized.

Studies on social isolation have linked it to increased stress and inflammation, higher risks of heart disease and stroke, higher rates of anxiety and depression, and even changes in immune function.

So we figured we'd better do our part. 😂🍻

We've spent a lot of time debating what Breakwall would look like after summer ended — including whether we'd even stay open through the winter.

Well... we've made our decision.

🔥 BREAKWALL WILL BE OPEN ALL WINTER LONG! 🔥

And we're already kicking around some ideas to make winter in Kewaunee a little more fun.

🎤 Bringing karaoke to town
📅 Possibly adding more days to our weekly schedule
🔥 Adding some BBQ options
🍗 Broasted chicken and other hearty winter food
🍻 And, of course, a warm place to grab a drink, eat something good and spend some time with other people.

We're still putting the winter schedule and menu together, so nothing beyond staying open is carved in stone just yet.

But one thing IS official:

Summer may be ending. Breakwall isn't.

We'll see you all winter long. ⚓❤️

We're OPEN 11 AM–8 PM today, and it's a beautiful day to spend some time down by the Kewaunee harbor!

Stop in for some good food, cold drinks and a seat at the bar before heading out for the evening — or come back and see us afterward.

🎶 Music in the Park starts at 5 PM today, literally right across the street from Breakwall at the Harbor Park gazebo!

Today's performer is Courtney Paulson, bringing alternative soul pop with a raw, real sound. It's also Tug Ludington Appreciation Day down at the harbor.

So make an afternoon out of it:

We recently came across this incredibly cool old photo of Milwaukee Street and had to share it. It’s pretty amazing seeing what the street looked like all those years ago and knowing that today Breakwall calls 402 Milwaukee Street home. ❤️
